10 weeks

I just put Baby-No-Sleep to bed and it's 9:30 at night. He couldn't have had more than an hour total of naps today. How can a growing baby need less sleep than his parents? He is doing well in that he is less fussy. We were even to able to meet with our small group book study last night, and Carter was an angel the whole time. However, I think we are both getting run down from the lack of sleep. Carter can go up to 5 hours between feeds at night, but that doesn't mean he's sleeping the whole time. The pediatrician suggested we could put rice cereal in with his formula, but there's controversey whether this could cause allergies if given before four months. So for now, we'll just hang in there. I am sure restful nights are in our future!
His sitter commented today on how much he "talks". He does have quite a bit to say, and it's awfully cute! The other three kids she keeps have been sick in the last 48 hours, so hopefully Carter will not catch anything.
